WINEMAKER’S NOTES

Fortified with expertly crafted Haskap Eau-de-Vie at Great Gido’s Homebrew, The Abbey is complex, deep, and intriguing from the first sip to the last. Classic Haskap flavours and aromas are intensified with the fortification process. The wine used for this ambrosia was from 2021’s highly flavourful and intense berries. Due to the extremely hot and dry summer we had, the flavours of the berries are enhanced and that is further accented in the wine. Wine Align 90 pts, and NYIWC 93 pts in its first year at prestigious competitions! No concentrates or other juices are used in the making of our award-winning wines. The Abbey is further improving upon aging, and will be re-entered into competition as it enters its second year of development in 2024.

The rare and never obvious fortified honeysuckle wine is bright ruby red, smells like a candied flower and does well to grab your aromatic attention.
